Looking to buy a couple of Rankin's, but am starting to question the purchase after seeing pictures of them. I've never seen a Rankin with irregular patterning like this. Is it normal/common or a bad sign (genetics/purity)?

Any info/assistance is much appreciated :)

Hi seiryoku,

Uromastyx: Brian (M), Chloe (F), Kora (F), Kami (M), Melody (F), Murray (M), Omar (M)
Hi,

This is a tough one. The head shape says Rankins and I've certainly seen them with irregular markings when they are this young. The only two things I see that are slightly off are the width of the band that runs down the ridge of the spine and the more pronounced spikes along the sides of the abdomen. If there is any Beardie in the bloodline it's a few generations back.

What does the person selling them say about their lineage? Do they know who the parents were?

Hope this helps,
Mark
