I have a 4 year old Rankin called Darwin, bought him on the 30/11/2016
Hi i did post in a different part of the forum, i'm new to Rankins and have recently bought a four year old who i'm really worried about. The lady did say he had been a bit quiet of late. But theres quiet and then theres just lying in a corner of the viv under a branch refusing to eat or drink. I actually thought he was dead yesterday. I have read all the posts on brumation and stress and i'm just wondering if the change could of been too much for him. I also haven't seen him poo yet.

Hi Carol,

Please see my response to your post in the General section of the forum.

Put a shallow dish of water in his enclosure and let him drink/bathe in it. This sounds like normal residual stress but water is very important. He will start to eat on his own after a while (they can go without food for a long time without becoming ill) but try to keep his stress levels to a minimum.

Best regards,
Mark
